Volunteers are essential to Your YMCA!

“YMCAs are groups of people gathered
together to serve the needs of all.”

The YMCA was started by a volunteer in 1844 and last year, over 200 Sandusky County YMCA volunteers contributed their time to strengthening our mission of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities!

You can be a part of that group. Through volunteering, you’ll have the opportunity to have an impact on your community, meet great people, and grow!

We have volunteering opportunities in three basic areas: program volunteers (coaches, program aides), policy volunteers(board of directors, committee members), and events (fundraisers and fundraiser committees, membership events). To find out more email Lisa@FrYMCA.org

“The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but reveal to them their own.”

Membership

Change your life

Membership in the YMCA means more than using a service. It is an opportunity to belong to a community that shares, grows, and cares about all its members.

YMCA mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

We strive to make our members feel welcome, positive, and involved and our staff recognizes that service to our members is the most important part of our job. Therefore, we make this promise:

  • Our staff members will be friendly, attentive, and demonstrate caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
  • We will keep our facilities and equipment clean, safe and well maintained.
  • We will deliver quality programs that meet the needs of our members and guests.
  • We will provide opportunities for members to be involved as volunteers.
