Become a Member Find Classes and Programs Contact Us Volunteer/ Donate Strong Communities Campaign 2010 At the Sandusky County YMCA in Fremont, Ohio, our success is measured in the lives we touch.  Our annual Strong Communities Campaign makes it possible for everyone in our community to benefit from YMCA programs and services. The annual support campaign represents the largest share of our fundraising efforts each year, reaching out to our members, friends, businesses, and the community at large. These gifts make it possible to provide opportunities for children, families and individuals that build self-confidence, promote a healthy lifestyle, and develop positive values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.  Keeping the Promise The funds raised through this community-wide effort enables the Sandusky County YMCA to keep the promise it makes to the community each year.  The promise is that no individual or family will be turned away from participating in the YMCA due to an inability to pay.  The promise embodies our core mission by providing financial support to those who simply cannot afford to pay for the YMCA experience. Everyone Benefits The truth is that everyone benefits from this promise, not only those who receive financial assistance.  The YMCA is a very special place in our community, where people from all backgrounds interact on an even playing field.  Families with little to no resources swim and share the facility with CEO's of local corporations, and interrelate in a way that really does not happen anywhere else. In our classes and fitness center, and at our summer camps, people of varied circumstances are brought together to learn about healthy lifestyles and to meet and enjoy relationships with each other.  These relationships are invaluable, and they help people, young and old, to experience and learn from one another.  This helps to build our community into one where people value each other and treat one another with respect. Help Us Reach Our Goal Help us reach our goal of $35,000 for the 2010 Strong Communities Campaign.  Your gift provides youth and families with life-enriching activities and programs that may not exist for them otherwise.
